{Sad,Bitter,Angry}ness

That's my current mix of feelings.

There is a french saying that says: “the best among us always leave first”.

Would I need to qualify him ? Dignity, Honesty, Faiththul to his ideals. Shame on us to have let it happen. You will be missed.

QOTD

dunc-tank est le chemin de moindre effort à l'heure actuelle.

a rough translation is : “dunc-tank is currently the lazy way”. This translation is though unable to render the connotation that the french carries in chemin de moindre effort that it's a bad path.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the author of that quote is a member of the dunc-tank board.

Edit: updated path of the least effort to lazy way that is a better translation, thanks to John Hughes.

Answer to Raphaël: I don't seem to munge anything as it's clear even in your blog entry that (quoting again) dunc-tank [is] definitely not perfect. So basically, I don't consider I've betrayed anything from what you think. The very fact that a member from the dunc-tank initiative thinks that it's a bad solution is quite interesting in itself.

we need to cleanse the archive

% zcat /home/debian/dists/etch/main/source/Sources.gz | grep 'Package:' | wc -l
10026
% zcat /home/debian/dists/etch/main/source/Sources.gz | grep 'Package:.*perl' | wc -l
1026

so, 10% of the debian source packages are perl modules. How many of them have never been uploaded for years ? how many of them have 10 versions of backlog wrt upstream ?
